Chiropractors are highly trained and certified individuals who use a non-invasive approach to treat the muscles, joints and nerves in your body. They are able to assess, diagnose and treat various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Chiropractors are different from many other healthcare professions as they use their hands and secondary instruments – such as Activator® and ArthroStim®- to apply force to joints in the human body. This is also called a chiropractic adjustment. Adjustments can be done to your neck, back, shoulder, wrist, and many other joints of the human body – and are completely safe! Chiropractors also help with joint mobilization, correction of spinal misalignments, exercises, and provide ongoing patient education. The goal of Chiropractic treatment at our facility is to help improve your body’s alignment, increase spinal mobility, and improve overall physical functioning.
When you book a Chiropractic appointment at Active Life Wellness Center, you will see Dr. Sodhi for an initial assessment. He will first conduct a head to toe examination and gather information such as past medical history, subjective information and objective data. From these findings, Dr. Sodhi will create an individualized plan tailoring to your particular health goals. Subsequent sessions will consist of chiropractic adjustments, exercises, and patient education. At regular intervals, Dr. Sodhi will undergo a re-assessment to make sure that we’re on the right track. Dr. Sodhi will always explain everything as the treatment sessions go on. This will ensure that you are learning about your diagnosis and feel comfortable with the treatments that are being provided! In addition, at any time if needed – Dr. Sodhi can send you for an X-ray at the nearest diagnostic imaging facilities around us.

It is completely normal to feel sore after a Chiropractic adjustment. This is because when you have an adjustment, your body is trying to adjust to proper alignment – as muscles that were once in-active became active. However, with relative rest and use of a heating pad or warm shower, it can help ease with the soreness.
You do not hear the “popping” sound all the time, however when you do hear it, it is completely normal and unharmful. This “popping” sound is also known as cavitation. It occurs when they are tiny pockets of air bubbles in the fluid that surround your joints. The popping sound is simply the result of the air bubbles releasing. There is nothing to be worried about!
